Gaza: Quand
Sami Yusuf [1],
« The Day the World Gets Round ». (**)
avec un nouvel album pop « An Other Cup ».
« I love my dog », ou de l’album « Matthew and Son », seront
les bombardements israéliens : « We
will not go down » (***)

Paroles de « Forever Palestine »
Mother don’t cry for me I am
heading off to war
God almighty is my armour and sword
Palestine, Forever Palestine.
Children being killed for throwing stones in
the sky
They say to their parents don’t worry, God is on our side
Palestine, Palestine, Forever.
Mother don’t worry when they come for us at
night
Surely they’ll be sorry when God puts them right
Tell me why they’re doing what was done to them
Don’t they know that God is with the oppressed and needy
Perished were the nations that ruled through tyranny
Palestine, Forever Palestine.
Children of Palestine are fighting for their
lives
They say to their parents we know that Palestine is our right
They say to their parents we’ll fight for what is right
They say not to worry God is on our side
They say we’ll die for Palestine
Palestine, Forever Palestine.

Paroles de « The Day The World Gets Round »
The day the world gets ’round
to understanding where it is,
Using all it’s found,
to help each other, hand in hand
The day the world gets ’round
to understanding where it’s gone
Losing so much ground
killing each other, hand in hand
Such foolishness in man
I want no part of their plan - OH NO
If you’re the destructive kind
Now I’m working from day to day
As I don’t want to be like you
I look for the pure of heart
And the ones that have made a start,
But Lord, there are just a few
who bow before you,
in silence they pray,
Oh how they pray for the day the
world gets ’round
Using all they’ve found
To help each other, hand in hand
The Day The World Gets ’Round

Paroles de « We will not go down in Gaza tonight »
A blinding flash of white
light
Lit up the sky over Gaza tonight
People running for cover
Not knowing whether they’re dead or alive
They came with their tanks and their planes
With ravaging fiery flames
And nothing remains
Just a voice rising up in the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
Women and children alike
Murdered and massacred night after night
While the so-called leaders of countries afar
Debated on who’s wrong or right
But their powerless words were in vain
And the bombs fell down like acid rain
But through the tears and the blood and the pain
You can still hear that voice through the smoky haze
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In Gaza tonight
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
You can burn up our mosques and our homes and our schools
But our spirit will never die
We will not go down
In the night, without a fight
We will not go
